Digital Speedometer ยท Last updated October 23, 2026

This policy explains what information the Digital Speedometer app ("the app") uses and why. The short version: we do not collect, store, or sell your personal information. The app shows ads provided by Google, and Google may collect some data as described below.

Location

The app uses your device's location (GPS) while the app is open in order to calculate and display your speed. Location is processed only on your device. It is not sent to us, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. You can turn off location access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services; the speedometer will not work without it.

Settings stored on your device

The app saves your preferences (such as display units) on your device. This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the app.

Advertising

The free version of the app displays banner ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may automatically collect information such as your device type, operating system, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, app usage and ad interaction data, and device identifiers. The app does not ask for permission to track you, so Google does not receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking across other companies' apps and websites.

Google's use of this information is governed by Google's own policies:

What we do not do

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
